If you head to the east of the town, via Rue Jean-Jaurès, then Route de Quimper, you will find Brest’s National Botanical Conservatory. Located in the Stang-Alar valley, sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the town, this beautiful 2 km-long landscaped park covers 47 hectares stretching out up to the Moulin Blanc beach. It houses a public park, the botanical gardens of the Conservatoire Botanique, tropical greenhouses, exhibitions... One of its missions is to protect endangered species.
The Conservatoire is as pleasant as it is exceptional. It is the perfect place for a gentle stroll. The backdrop of gardens, woods, lakes and ponds creates a peaceful atmosphere, great for relaxing and discovering nature.
